ABOUT

The Elmastukwek Archery Club is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development and growth of archery as a sport in a safe environment.

We are located in Benoit's Cove in the Town of Humber Arm South in Elmastukwek Ktaqmkuk (Bay of Islands, Newfoundland)

​

We offer:

  • Weekly Youth Archery Programs

  • Adult Drop-in Sessions

  • Archery Tournaments

Mission

Elmastukwek Archery Club is dedicated to promoting, developing, and growing archery as a sport for all ages and all community members (Indigenous and non-Indigenous) of Humber Arm South, Elmastukwek (Bay of Islands).

Vision

To provide our community members with an opportunity to learn and/or excel at archery in a safe and ethical environment.

 

 

We provide archers with:

 

  • A certified and equipped local-level club to practice archery safely,

  • A shooting range that is set up at St. Peter’s Academy weekly, where archers can learn the basics or perfect their skills,

  • Access to trained and/or certified coaches (with the Coaching Association of Canada),

  • Programs and workshops to enhance understanding and appreciation of archery disciplines and equipment,

  • An opportunity to participate, prepare, and compete at the club and community level.

  • An opportunity to socialize and create long-lasting relationships within the archer community.

Values

We believe that:

 

  • Archery, for fun or to excel, is a sport for all ages. (Inclusivity)

  • Providing a proper and safe environment to practice and learn archery is the best approach to promoting and introducing the sport of archery. (Safety)

  • Working together, we can revive the sport of archery in our community in a safe and ethical way. (Partnership)
